Avenue Montaigne in Paris is probably the street where the greatest names in French and international fashion and haute couture are most concentrated. It’s a shopper’s dream for many tourists whose budgets match the prices on display. For others, it’s an opportunity to indulge in window-shopping—or even step inside if you wish.
To make your visit easier, we’ve selected the 29 boutiques and shops on Avenue Montaigne (nearly 80%) that have been rated by tourists who have already visited the area.
We present these boutiques in different ways—you choose how:
on a map,
in the order they appear along your route,
by type of store (if you’re looking for something specific),
alphabetically to find a particular shop,
with each shop’s address, phone number, and a quality or service rating (or customer feedback) directly accessible on the map (Pop Up).
How we selected the 29 shops on Avenue Montaigne
The shops we recommend are rated from 1 to 5, and we have excluded those with a rating below 4.0 from our lists (with a few exceptions, such as 3.2 or 3.5, to highlight the shops you should particularly avoid). The merchants are rated by tourists who have walked this Avenue Montaigne route before you.
Stroll from the Arc de Triomphe to Place de la Concorde: shopping and “relaxing breaks”
The “visit” to Avenue Montaigne can be done independently.
But you can also link it to the idea of shopping on the Champs-Élysées and to the walk we have also published: « Walk from the Arc de Triomphe to Place de la Concorde via the Champs-Élysées ». This way, you can get a comprehensive view of haute couture, fashion, and luxury in Paris, all located in the area known as the « Golden Triangle », bordered by Avenue Montaigne, the Champs-Élysées, and Avenue George-V.
Of course, visiting and shopping on Avenue Montaigne and the Champs-Élysées is no small feat. That’s why these routes also feature “relaxation stops” alongside the “shopping breaks.” These include coffee breaks, restaurant stops, art gallery pauses, and more, each rated by the quality of service you can expect.

How the "Avenue Montaigne Map" Works – Available Information
Click on the map or on "About" at the bottom right of the map. You will get a list of "store categories." By clicking on "– View data" at the top right, you will see the complete list of recommended stores on the right-hand column, sorted by "even numbers" in blue, "odd numbers" in red, and by type of business (e.g., Watches/Jewelry/Eyeglasses). You can hide the right-hand column by clicking Close.
Still in the list on the right side of the map, click on the store name to locate it on the map and open a window with all its details, including its address, phone number, and rating.
To remove this list, click “Close” in the top-right corner of the map.
To display only one store category (e.g., restaurants) on the map by removing all others, simply click the Eye icon to the right of each category you wish to hide. To restore them, click again on each previously removed category.
Clicking “+” or “–” (or using your mouse wheel), you can zoom in or out on the map.
Click and drag the cursor on the map to move it within the window.
Hover over any marker to display the store name—along with its number in the list below.
Clicking (with the left mouse button) on any marker opens a window with “all the store’s information,” including its address, phone number, and customer ratings.
