Chanel Royale - Fashion Clothing and Accessories
Chanel Royale – Fashion Clothing and Accessories
Chanel is a French luxury house renowned for its elegant, understated collections that remain instantly recognizable as quintessentially Chanel. Coco Chanel’s fashion legacy lives on.
Coco Chanel famously said, “Fashion fades, style is eternal,” and this principle still guides the brand today. Black and white are Chanel’s signature colors. The Chanel woman embodies a blend of femininity and masculinity—pearls, a tweed suit, refined yet liberated. A newly reopened boutique in December 2023
The boutique, located at 25, rue Royale in the heart of the Madeleine district, has undergone a full renovation and redesign as part of a year-long project. Spanning 420 square meters across two levels, the space centers around a glass elevator and a double-height white marble staircase. It features two distinct entrances: one on rue Royale and another in cité Berryer, one of Paris’s most exclusive hidden passages, renamed Village Royal in the 1990s and now home to several luxury brands. Interior design by architect Peter Marino
The new layout reflects the architectural vision developed by Peter Marino for Chanel, incorporating the house’s signature color palette (gold, black, and unbleached white) accented with touches of blue, red, and pink. The atmosphere is hushed, intimate, and sophisticated, with premium materials such as stucco, lacquered panels, marble, granite, and onyx.
Accessories and ready-to-wear
At the entrance, on the first floor, a dedicated space showcases accessories such as costume jewelry, sunglasses and bags, while at the back of the store, you’ll find small leather goods, watches, fine jewelry and other bag styles. The boutique also offers ready-to-wear, featuring the latest collections by Artistic Director Virginie Viard, including:
Clothing
Fashion accessories
Fragrances
Fine jewelry and watches
Sunglasses
A sculpture to evoke Mademoiselle Chanel
A distinctive feature of the store is the spiral sculpture “White Golden Lasso,” composed of stainless steel beads plated with white gold leaves, suspended from the ceiling near the staircase. Inspired by Mademoiselle Chanel’s beloved pearl necklace, it is reimagined here as a monumental piece over three meters tall. This installation by artist Jean-Michel Othoniel can also be found in other Chanel boutiques. Chanel boutiques in Paris and around the world
With the restructuring of the Rue Royale flagship, Chanel is strengthening its presence in Paris. In the heart of the capital, it now operates five additional points of sale: at 19 Rue Cambon, a new space opened in 2018 to complement the historic address at 31 Rue Cambon, at 42 and 51 Avenue Montaigne, and at 21 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
These stores are complemented by Chanel’s flagship jewelry boutique, which reopened on Place Vendôme in June following extensive renovations, as well as by Chanel’s dedicated spaces in the department stores Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, and Bon Marché, and at La Samaritaine—including a dedicated shoe boutique—along with three boutiques at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. In total, the brand operates 220 Chanel Mode boutiques worldwide.
