Practical info: everything you need to know before visiting

The Archaeological Crypt is located at 7 Parvis Notre-Dame – Place Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris, just a stone’s throw from the cathedral. To get there, take metro line 4 (station "Cité") or RER lines B and C (station "Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame").

The site is also served by several bus lines (21, 24, 27, 38, 47, 85, 96).

Opening hours are as follows: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ticket office closes at 5:30 p.m.). The site is closed on Mondays, as well as January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th.

Allow around 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes for a complete visit. Entry is paid, but the prices remain very affordable: €8 at full rate, €6 at the reduced rate. As mentioned earlier, certain categories of visitors are entitled to free admission.
