9 exceptional 2-star Paris hotels, rated 8.6 to 9.4/10, at around €100 per night

Finding comfortable hotels in Paris for €100 during the off-season (or a little more depending on the season) is no easy task. We only found 9 out of the 1,626 hotels in Paris. What’s more, these are 2-star hotels but “high-end” ones, with a user rating of around 9 out of 10. Most 2-star hotels have a rating between 8 and 8.5 for a price that often exceeds $150 to $175 during the off-season. So we are offering exceptional value for money. But it’s also an opportunity that you need to seize quickly by making your reservation as early as possible and well in advance of your stay.

Our selection criteria

• Comfort and cleanliness: We have opted for a customer satisfaction rating of 8.6/10 and above. If several hundred customers of a hotel rate it above 9.0, there is little risk that you will be disappointed with the service you receive.
• Basic amenities Free and reliable Wi-Fi in the room, television, often with international channels, safe (often at reception), kettle (possibly)
• Breakfast: A buffet breakfast (often continental) is the norm: bread, pastries, hot drinks, juice, fruit, etc., but at an additional cost. When breakfast is not available or too expensive, there are always restaurants and cafés nearby.
• Service and welcome: Friendly staff who speak English (and sometimes other languages), 24-hour reception (in general), help with luggage, taxis, luggage storage (before check-in or after check-out).
• Good location: Close to a metro station, tourist attractions, or a lively neighborhood, with easy access on foot to restaurants, bakeries, shops, etc.
• Additional services (not mandatory but appreciated): Elevator, especially in old Parisian buildings with more than two floors, disabled access (please note that this is often not available in the selection in this post), daily housekeeping service.
