The origin of The whisky shop

The Whisky Shop was born in 1992 when we opened our very first boutique in Edinburgh. Today, we are the UK market leader, with around twenty stores across the UK and a very active e-commerce site: The Whisky Shop UK.

It was in 2016 that Imogen, the founder's daughter, came from Scotland to open the 1st boutique outside the UK, right in the center of Paris! It is near the Madeleine Church, the Concord Square and the Royal Street.

Often, our customers push open the door and say, "I don't know anything about whisky, but...". Well, we're here to help! With a young team, our Parisian boutique, a veritable little whisky embassy, is built around "experience". Our aim: to reveal the mysteries of whisky by allowing our customers to immerse themselves in this world so rich in history and discovery.

This is what we offer every day in our boutique, with a selection of 400+ Scotch whiskies, world whiskies (including Japanese whiskies) and other spirits such as cognac, rum and gin.

The Whisky Masterclass is the perfect opportunity to learn and appreciate whisky in an informal setting. During a 2-hour session, come and taste several whiskies, share and consolidate your whisky culture in a small group - all in the company of one of our team or a brand ambassador.

No prior knowledge of whisky is necessary, and the format is friendly and conversational - the ideal safe space to learn and taste good whiskies in good company!
