RIVIERAWATCH was born on the banks of the Swiss Riviera in January 2003, from the passion of its founder and manager Jérôme MEIGNAN. But it wasn't a foregone conclusion.

The company concept in the luxury watch sector

• Although the market for exceptional timepieces is booming, it's hardly followed by the online market.
• The high prices of the watches sold are often not in line with the welcome and care offered by "typical" jewelers.
• The second-hand watch market is also booming. But for collectors, it's hard to find a brand they can trust in terms of follow-up and quality.

The challenge of countering these three anomalies led to the creation of the company. It is based on two founding ideas:

• To offer a range of luxury watches available for sale on the web via various well-known networks.
• To offer a quality service at attractive prices.

Initially on Ebay, then via specialized networks such as chrono24.

The difficulties of selling luxury watches on the Internet

• The first is doubt about the authenticity of the watches, in a market where there are so many copies. This was erased by a reassuring sales pitch and quality service.
• The second was the quality of the watches presented. For unequivocal realism, the photos are presented in high definition for each watch.
  This action is carried out with the utmost care, so that every customer can view a watch at 100% of its actual rendering (no blurring or other effects on any scratches).
• The third obstacle was the constant struggle to offer the best price. So the company's beginnings began by weaving together a network of reliable suppliers able to offer high purchasing volumes and thus significantly lower prices. Then, secondly, by limiting the costs associated with the company's structure: no premises in a privileged area, no advertising costs...
• The fourth challenge concerned the security of sending watches by parcel. We therefore sought out and found the best insurance cover available for the shipment of valuables. Each parcel is insured for its real value.

Rivierawatch results

The French company RIVIERAWATCH, based in Thonon-les-Bains (Savoie, on the Swiss border), was founded in 2009. It also has an office/boutique opposite the Eglise de la Madeleine and 250 m from the Concord Square. Every day, the company builds its reputation through satisfied customers.
