Today is a day trip outside Paris to visit the Château de Versailles.
The town of Versailles, where the château and all its outbuildings are located, is 18 km as the crow flies from Notre-Dame, or 20 km by rail and 22 to 24 km by road. The town of Versailles is in the Yvelines département (no. 78), adjacent to the Seine/Pairs département (no. 75). The geographical coordinates of the Château de Versailles are 48.80491, 2.12036
The "Château de Versailles" is just one part of the Versailles estate, which also includes gardens and parkland, and within this park, the two Trianon castles (Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon) plus the Hameau de la Reine. They can be viewed separately (Tickets) or in their entirety (Ticket).
