Metro: the nearest metro stations are : Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre (line 7 or 1), Louvre-Rivoli (line 1), Tuileries (line 1) and Pont-Neuf (line 7).
Bus: you can choose between the following lines: 95, 21, 27, 69, 72, 76.
Parking: you can also get there by car. But you'll need to budget for parking. An underground parking lot with 670 spaces over 2 floors is located just below the Carroussel du Louvre. It is accessible via avenue du Général Lemonnier 75001 Paris.
Departure time of your day: opening of the Louvre (9:00 am) - Must be visited: 2h30 to 3hours
Organisation of the day:what can be seen or visited during this day is divided into 5 themes:

- Monuments, museum(9) : you will not have time to visit each of them. We suggest to visit Le Louvre Museum, eventually the Orange Museum and/or the Hotel-de-la-Marine. If you still have time at the end of the day, you could climb to the top of the Arc-de-Triomphe (you have a magnificant view on Paris). But you are missing time and are planing the visit of the Eiffel Tower an other day, forget about the Arc-de-Triomphe visit (1h30mn)

- Catering, restaurants(5)
Restaurants: if it is your first day in Paris, you have to know that
- They are open for lunch between 12:00 and 2:30pm latest. Peak hours : 0:30 to 1:30am.
- Lunches are 2 or 3 courses, but you can only order a starter + the main course or the main course + a desert.
- Drinks. Café or expresso is never served with the meals, but after the desert (or with on reqest). You can drink wine (but you can order a half bottle of wine or "a carafe of wine" or even a glass of 12 to 20 cl). You can ask for water only (Mineral water or even "une carafe d'eau", it means water from the tap - It is free and there is no risk with the Citiy of Paris water. Note that "eau plate" means mineral water without gas).
- Service is included in the price. You can let a tip to the waiter (5 to 10%) but it is not mandatory. Tips cannot be included into the bill: you have to give it cash (but you can ask the waiter to make change with a banknote).
