Full description

La Butte Fromagère is the place to go to taste and enjoy good cheeses. On your way to or from Montmartre Hill.

Owner Sophie Cormerais

After working in a number of food-related professions, notably for prestigious caterers, Sophie Cormerais returned to her first love: cheese. When she opened La Butte Fromagère in 2013, her aim was above all to give pleasure and discover original, quality products. Sophie and her team will advise you on the dozens of cheeses from small producers with whom she works directly, or whom she selects each week at the market.

In a beautiful, meadow-colored boutique on the west side of Montmartre Hill

It's hard not to fall in love with the display case devoted entirely to goat's cheese, the star of this cheese shop! But there are many other cheesy treats to be found in this creamery-cheese shop.

Products are selected from small producers and carefully matured in the store's own maturing cellar. There's something for every taste. And they're all excellent.

La Butte fromagère: for local customers and visiting tourists

Among the many small stores in the area, La Butte Fromagère is the Mecca in its field, to the satisfaction and appreciation of all its occasional passing customers and regulars. All benefit from the selection of authentic cheeses and the professional advice of Sophie Cormerais and her assistants.

La Butte fromagère: a beautiful neighborhood cheese shop

Nothing but quality products in a wide selection of cheeses. Artisanal cheese shop with nearly 180 references. An excellent address in the Montmartre district. A warm welcome and excellent advice!

Particularly worth discovering is the Barisien: Brillât Savarin with truffles. And don't forget their Brousse cheese, normally eaten with sugar, but also recommended mixed with mackerel, as a fish rillette spread - an excellent idea! You'll find a selection of small producers (Brie de Melun, Comté Marcel Petit, Roquefort Carles...) as well as exceptional cheeses (Roble au romarin, Brillat Savarin aux Truffes...), nearly 50 varieties of goat's cheese.

And don't forget MONT VULLY: a cheese rubbed with Pinot Noir, with a fragrant rind and a tasty, slightly crunchy paste.

And let's not forget our foreign cheeses: all the Spanish, Italian, English and Irish classics...

On the dairy side, you'll find everything from crème fraiche and eggs to butter, yoghurts and fromage blanc by the ladleful! And to make things even more delicious, there are refined jams and fruit jellies.

To accompany this profusion of cheeses to taste, the deli section (hams, sausages), wines and beers.
