Georges Larnicol Maison, born in Brittany, remains true to its origins. All production takes place in Melgven, Finistère, in Brittany.

After a chaotic start and following these various atypical experiences, Georges Larnicol eventually turned, somewhat reluctantly, to pastry-making. Awarded "meilleur ouvrier de France" in 1993, he offers chocolates, macaroons, caramels and bonbons, not forgetting his specialty, "kouignette", a variation on kouign aman after taking over took over the family business in Brittany,. He opened his third store in Paris in 2012.

Georges Larnicol's values are those of craftsmanship and choice of raw materials, while ensuring that his products are accessible to as many people as possible. For him, quality must be shared by all. Lovers of Breton specialties, macaroons with subtle flavours and other cocoa-flavoured sweets will be delighted.

Maison Georges Larnical made its name with Kouignette®. Its story began in 2003 in Concarneau (29 - Brittany), during one of the heat waves of that scorching summer. The heat of July, accentuated by the presence of the ovens in the shop, was melting all the chocolate (and some of the sugar pieces!): it was therefore urgent and vital for Maison Larnicol to find a new flagship product that could withstand the heat and boost sales, especially as the worst was yet to come in August. That's when Georges Larnicol came up with the idea of the Kouignette®, a little puff pastry inspired by the Kouign amann from Brittany, easy to eat, affordable and infinitely (or almost!) versatile for everyone to enjoy. Since 2016, Kouignette® has gone one step further, and is now available in a savoury version in stores: pesto, olive, parmesan, Roquefort-walnut, basil and Roscoff onion (PDO). Ideal for aperitifs!

Note: summer 2003 also saw the arrival of Boule à Jojo® and Moumouttes® (small, fragrant meringues available in store). A summer full of new products for Maison Larnicol!
