Caroline Marie Rafaelle Van Hulle was born in Belgium. Of Flemish origin, she studied at St-Lucas in Ghent, where she obtained a diploma in "Artistic Humanities".
Rafaelle began her career as a "model", which enabled her to travel to many parts of the world for 10 years, providing inspiration for her paintings.
Her passion being painted decor, she perfected the "Trompe-l'Oeil" technique, in addition to artistic painting, by attending 2 Parisian schools: "l'IPEDEC" and "Les Cours Renaissance".
Once she had mastered these techniques, she went on to work as a "Fresquiste" in Prague, St-Petersburg, Moscow, Munich, Cairo,... for around ten years.
On her return to Paris, she settled in the famous artists' village of "Montmartre", where her rare exhibitions were appreciated by a discerning clientele, as her old-fashioned oil painting technique did not allow her to produce much. His paintings are often commissioned.
After a trip across Morocco, she fell in love with Tangier, where she often stayed, and decided to prepare a new exhibition at the "Minzah Palace" in 2008, where she explored the local atmosphere.
As a child, she admires the beauty of postage stamps and paints a series of over 20. In Paris, she continues to paint stamps from countries she knows well. To make sure she doesn't make a mistake, she writes herself postcards.
After an exhibition in Montmartre, in the studio of "Gen-Paul", a popular painter and friend of Picasso, Rafaelle met many local personalities, and her talent and experience enabled her to become a member of the Cercle des: "Peintres de Montmartre". She has the privilege of being the only living painter to have a painting exhibited in the permanent collection of the Musée de Montmartre!
Rafaelle works in her studios in Montmartre and Tangier and is preparing for a new exhibition.
