AO Izakaya among the best Japanese restaurants in Paris

Japanese cuisine has captured the hearts of Parisians in recent years, with dishes such as ramen, donburi and gyoza becoming increasingly popular in the city's restaurants.

Among the many Japanese restaurants in Paris, AO Izakaya stands out as one of the most acclaimed by press and critics alike.

We're proud of our team, who strive to offer you impeccable service and top-quality products to help you discover the authentic flavors of Japanese cuisine.

The place: modern, refined and bright

Functional decor and exposed kitchen. The Chef  combines the French touch with Japanese influences. In addition to top-notch bentos and sushi, the Japanese chef, trained in the great French restaurants, offers colorful hot and cold tapas served in pretty, hand-crafted crockery. A special highlight is the foie gras snack à la plancha on a bed of sushi rice with tenyaki sauce... Metzger meats, Label Rouge salmon and organic vegetables combine with traditional ingredients and spices imported directly from Japan.

Surprisingly creative Japanese classic

Japanese chef Yasuo Nanaumi, trained in French gastronomic culture, cooks up a near-perfect recital of sashimi, sushi, maki and miso soups made on the spot and served in a bento box at lunchtime: the "must-have" of this sober, bright establishment.
