Patrick Roger chocolatier, distinguished Meilleur Ouvrier de France
This Meilleur Ouvrier de France is an extravagant and inspired artist. In his quest for excellence, he makes no compromises.
The multifloral honey in his caramels comes from the hives installed on the roof of his chocolate factory! His "Couleurs" candies offer subtle flavor combinations. Silky caramel, verbena and yuzu for the "Sauvage" slate gray, or caramel, vinegar and raisin for the "Rafale" buttercup yellow. And why not succumb to the evocative names of "Jalousie," "Insolence," "Fantasme" or "Marie Galante"?
Magnificent chocolate sculptures. Excellent chocolates. Very good pralines, an exceptional dark chocolate with ginger, fearsome candied oranges! Expensive, but you must treat yourself to this tasting experience.
A chocolate mine in the basement
In the basement, the renowned chocolatier offers a cocoa mine: tall, dark walls gilded with fine gold, dotted with the famous "Couleurs" candies scented with lemon-basil from the chocolatier. Soft, rounded shapes and dim lighting enhance the cave-like atmosphere...
If you can't eat the sculptures, don't worry: the ground-floor boutique offers miniatures from Patrick Roger's collections!
A chocolate mine above all, but also a treasure trove of shapes, textures and colors... a showcase for collections of edible miniatures, as well as chocolate, bronze or aluminum sculptures—a true passion of the chocolate artist.
Everything is beautiful
Everything is beautiful and good to look at, touch or eat, for as long as there is Chocolate at Patrick Roger, there is Art! The space itself is a cocoon of raw aluminum alveoli, an ode to eternal nature and to the bees the artist reveres and cultivates—not just for their honey, but always with a view to biodiversity so essential to preserving our beautiful and generous planet.
The space is gentle, wrapped in rounded forms, a bit like an oxygen bubble in the heart of the city, a sphere for dreaming and savoring, a planet dedicated exclusively to Art and Chocolate!
Three levels of exhibition
Three levels to marvel, travel and lose yourself in Patrick Roger's fabulous universe... from the mine in the basement, whose walls are covered in raw chocolate and which, like nuggets, displays a selection of bronze and aluminum sculptures with surprising lines... up to the first floor, dedicated to the pleasure of tasting and collections of sweets with precious and original flavors. "Here, the entire palette of the chocolatier is expressed in an incredible range of variations, like miniature sculptures chiseled from the very essence of taste!" and ending on the second floor with the latest creations, sculptures carved and modeled by the master from the very substance of chocolate...
A giant "root-tree" pierces the entire space, breaking through the floors, emerging from the depths of the earth to reach the light, and on which an army of monkeys seems to watch, tease and invite us to share in the pleasures of creation with them!
