Eiffel Tower Tickets
When the Eiffel Tower was completed in 1889, it was the tallest building in the world. With 18,000 metallic parts and 2.5 million rivets, it was a true feat of engineering – and the perfect centerpiece for that year’s World’s Fair. But Alexandre Gustave Eiffel’s tower had as many haters as it had fans.
However, over time, the Eiffel Tower has become a universally beloved icon; it’s now the most-visited paid tourist attraction in the world. The fact remains that no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

Arc de Triomphe Tickets
The Arc de Triomphe is Napoleon’s Neoclassical take on the ancient Roman triumphal arch. It’s at the center of the Charles-de-Gaulle Square, with a dozen Parisian avenues radiating from it into the rest of the City of Light. Avenue des-Champs-Elysées is one of them.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is located at the level of the Place Charles-de-Gaulle, below the Arc-de-Triomphe. It commemorates the memory of soldiers who died in combat and never goes out: it is rekindled every evening at 6:30 p.m. by associations of veterans or war victims. Click on “Unknown soldier Tomb under the Paris Arc de Triomphe“
The construction of the Arc de Triomphe monument was decided by Emperor Napoleon 1st after the battle of Austerlitz (today Slavkov u Brna, in the Czech Republic) on Monday, December 2, 1805. He declared to the present French soldiers: “You will return to your homes only under arches of triumph”. The Emperor was referring to the triumphal arches erected under the Roman Empire.
Construction began in 1806 (Imperial Decree dated 18 February 1806) and was completed 30 years later in 1836 under King Louis-Philippe, long after the Emperor’s death in 1821.
